Ranking #10 out of 42 in her class, Ayanna Ewan has accomplished much throughout her high school years at Takoma Academy. She participated in Art Club, Gaming Club, NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), and NHS as parliamentarian. She was also active in drama, both as an actor and stagehand, and played on the soccer team. Additionally, Ayanna was a member of the school’s choir and had the opportunity to sing in the World Choir Games competition in New Zealand, where the group won both a gold and a silver medal.
In addition to her extracurricular involvement, Ayanna has received numerous awards for her academic excellence and strong character. These include the Love Award, Principal’s List, Eye of the Tiger Award, and Highest Honors, among others.
After graduating from Takoma Academy on June 8th, Ayanna plans to attend Penn State University to major in computer science. Her dream is to become a software engineer.
Ayanna would like to thank her family, friends, and church community for believing in her and investing in her growth. She is incredibly grateful for all the love and support she has received throughout the years. Most of all, Ayanna thanks God for being her rock and guiding her every step of the way.
As she prepares to take the next step in her journey, Ayanna looks forward to using her creativity, discipline, and faith to make a meaningful impact in the tech world and beyond.
